Maracanã

The Jornalista Mário Filho football stadium, better known as  Maracanã, is located in the most traditional neighborhood of Rio, Tijuca. It was built in 1950 for the World Cup games that year and is considered one of the largest football stadiums in the world. Around you are several small restaurants and bars used for happy hours.  
 
Currently, the Maracanã is also open to visitation.
